UFH Inauguration ceremony for Vice Chancellor overtook with chaos
An inauguration ceremony for the University of Fort Hare's Chancellor and Vice Chancellor has been marred by chaos.
This as striking staff members - led by National Health Education and Allied Workers Union (Nehawu) - cut off the electricity supply to the venue, forcing the ceremony to be cut short and denying the incumbents the opportunity to make their inaugural address.
Striking staff members demand a wage increment.
